February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, and in recognition of this mission, WLC invited Amy Jo Muscott from Bridges to present on some very important topics.
Bridges is a nonprofit organization that provides free and confidential services to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, teen dating violence, child sexual abuse, elder abuse, stalking, and harassment. They also provide crisis intervention, emergency shelter, court advocacy, support groups, and education and outreach to both women and men. All students in the freshman class had the opportunity to ask questions, express concerns, and participate in preventative education surrounding teen dating violence.
We would like to thank Amy Jo for sharing her time with WLC's ninth grade. And, even more importantly, we want to recognize all that Bridges does for our students and our community!
