November Student of the Month- Sydney Beam and Evan Kimball
Teacher: Mrs. Hamilton
Evan Kimball exemplifies the characteristics of an outstanding student. He is well read and engages in all class discussions. Evan can explain and cite evidence to support answers. He is polite, respectful and kind to all. Work is done on time. Evan works well in a variety of learning situations. When I think of the attributes we look for in our C.A.R.E.S. program, I think of Evan.
Teacher: Mrs. Sappet
Sydney Beam is first and foremost kind. She treats everyone with respect. The work that Sydney completes is always her very best effort. When she doesn’t understand how to do something, or is struggling with something, she asks for help, in a calm and collected manner. She does her very best to complete all classwork and homework in a timely manner. Sydney knows where her materials are, and utilizes classroom strategies for managing organization of her desk. When it is time to learn, Sydney is ready! She manages her time wisely, and takes challenges head-on. Sydney has been working to advocate for herself, being as kind as she is, she doesn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. When she advocates for herself, she does so in a way that is respectful and kind. Sydney is always looking to help her classroom community with thoughtful suggestions when someone is in need of support. For all these reasons and many more, Sydney Beam is one of the third grade choices for Student of the Month.
