Grade 2 Teacher

Thank you for visiting my teacher page. I am so excited to start my 11th year at Florence Rideout and I love coming to work each day knowing that I am making a difference in the life of a child. I am an enthusiastic and motivated teacher with a background in Special Education and am skilled in adapting to students' diverse learning styles.

I am a warm and caring teacher who wants all children to be successful learners and who works to create a classroom atmosphere that is stimulating, encouraging, and adaptive to the varied needs of students. It is important to me to create a cooperative community in the classroom and model for students the importance of mutual respect and cooperation among all community members.

The Second Grade Team’s vision statement is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where students feel empowered to take risks, speak freely, become productive members of society, and become independent thinkers. In addition, students will continue to build on their foundational skills in all academic areas.
