New Hampshire Statewide Assessment System
-
The New Hampshire Statewide Assessment System (NH SAS) is administered to students as part of an accountability measure for Federal Law under the Every Student Succeed Act (ESSA). Each year in the spring, students are tested in English Language Arts and Mathematics in grades 3-8, and Science in grades 5, 8, and 11. These assessments are designed to measure how well a student has mastered the skills in each subject area for their grade level. For more information about the NH SAS visit the NH Department of Education, Office of Assessment.
Results from these assessments are shared with families through the New Hampshire SAS Family Portal. Families receive a code from the school to access these scores. These codes do not change year to year and can be used to access scores beginning in 3rd grade. Test scores should be used along with in-class performance, report card grades, and teacher reports to form a complete picture of a student’s achievement.
The New Hampshire Department of Education reports information at the district, school, and grade level on the State of New Hampshire iAchieve platform. This website is updated annually and houses proficiency and growth information for all public and charter schools in the state.
For information regarding how to access your student's code, reach out to the main office.
