    6th grade

    • Charlee Rinke-Stanford - This student is full of enthusiasm. He loves this school and loves learning. This student cares a lot about his grades and works hard on all of his assignments, often turning them in before their due dates. He works very well with other students and he is a good friend. He loves to  participate in class and his teachers have noticed a particular interest in Ancient Egypt and Greek Mythology. We all wish him the very best of luck as he prepares for his new adventures in Minnesota. This month’s student of the month is Charlee Rinke. 

    • Madilynn Smith -  This student is very kind and genuine.  She has come a long way in all her classes.  She completes assignments on time and is always very neat.  She is very social and loves to play basketball and softball.  She is quite a force to be reckoned with on the field.  She is very quiet in the classroom but is always heard because she has a nice presence about herself.  She tends to take care of people and helps to make sure everyone is alright.  This month’s SOM is Madi Smith!

    7th grade 

    • Camden Jones - This student is always ready for class as soon as it starts. He comes into class ready to work and always does his best. He is a great collaborator and always does his work and gets it in on time. Outside of school he likes to draw and is into a lot of different sports. He loves baseball, soccer and golf and plays all of them. Team Awesome would like to congratulate Camden Jones as the May Student of the Month.

    • Myah Montmarquet - Team Awesome is proud to honor this next student who has made so much progress from September to now. This student consistently shows up to school with a can-do attitude and is always looking for ways to improve. She welcomes feedback from her teachers and is always willing to take a risk in the classroom. This student treats her peers and educators with kindness and respect. We look forward to seeing all the progress this student will continue to make moving on to 8th grade. Team Awesome is proud to announce Myah Montmarquet as our Student of the Month for May! Congrats Myah!

    • McKenna Crouse - The 8th grade student is being recognized for her independent nature and consistent hard work. This student knows how to ask great questions and is polite and respectful to her fellow students. This student cares deeply about her performance and consistently puts out excellent work, while never serving as a distraction to others. Her focus and appreciation for the subject material is commendable, making her an excellent choice for May’s student of the month.

    • Hailey Martens - This 8th grade student is being recognized for her consistency and independence in completing her work. She has great communication skills and is always checking in with her teachers to make sure she is following directions carefully, making sure she is following expectations, and getting her work in on time - even when she is out. Team Awesome appreciates her work ethic, and is happy to announce Hailey Martens as their May student of the month.

    6th Grade

    • Saige Peckens - This 6th grader has come a long way since first arriving at WLC in the fall. He has overcome many challenges and faced them all with a smile. His great sense of humor and good-natured personality has helped him shine, not to mention his hard work academically. Though he arrived with little confidence in his abilities, he has consistently pushed himself to improve. He has matured in both his work habits and the choices he makes to support his own needs. The 6th grade team proudly acknowledges Saige Peckens! 

    • Sophia Dean -  This 6th grade SOM is so creative and unique.  She always has a smile on her face and has very polite manners.  She has made wonderful strides with her work this month.  She completes assignments thoroughly and they often have doodle marks on them.  :)  She loves to design and create things from scraps of truly anything!  Her personality is sweet and kind along with being a good friend to all her peers.  This month’s SOM is……SOPHIA!

    7th Grade

    • Jayden Heaphy - Team Awesome is happy to be awarding this student of the month after all the progress she has made throughout 7th grade. This student has pushed herself every day to improve as a student. This student has been turning in assignments on time and is always welcoming feedback from her teachers. She loves to work with her friends and is always willing to help out her peers. She has a great sense of humor that can make the entire class laugh at a given time. Team Awesome is proud to announce Jayden Heaphy as our student of the month. 

    • Lucas Latour - Team Awesome is very proud to award this student of the month for the amazing year he has had in 7th grade. Over the course of the year, he has made tremendous strides academically. He walks into class ready and willing to try his best at his work. In class, his teachers have noticed that he has come out of his shell and has shown everyone his kind-hearted and silly sense of humor. An avid Travis Scott fan, he has an impressively abundant knowledge on the discography of many similar artists.  Team Awesome would like to recognize Lucas Latour for April Student of the Month. 

    8th Grade

    • Blakeslee Popores - This 8th grader is respectful, kind and engaged in all her classes. She works hard on her assignments, constantly has high grades and sets a strong example for other students to follow. These are qualities that are valuable, and what really sets this student apart is the challenges she has faced in accomplishing these feats. This student transitioned to a new school partway through the year, which is one of the most challenging maneuvers a middle school student could make. After a great deal of hard work, she has successfully created a place for herself in our community through hard work and becoming a good friend to her peers. Her teachers are proud to count her as a member of our school community and to award Blakeslee Popores as the 8th grade student of the month. 

    • Alannah Wowianko - This eighth grade student always comes to class prepared and ready to work. She does her best all the time. She is respectful to her peers as well as the adults she interacts with. She never says a bad word about anyone and she is a very nice person. Reading is one of her favorite things to do. Outside of school she enjoys volleyball and baking. Team Awesome is proud to present Alannah Wowianko as the April Student of the Month.

    6th Grade
    Spencer Jacques - This 6th grade student constantly meets his academic goals and everyday comes into his classes with a smile on his face, ready to seize the day. His behavior is always exemplary and his positive energy is an inspiration to the school community. Well-loved by his fellow classmates, this student completes service projects within our building every day and is everything a Wilton Warrior should be. The Dream Team is proud to announce that the March student of the month is Spencer Jacques.
    Alexis Gomez - This student is very busy.  She actively participates in classroom discussions and provides interesting insight to solutions.  She has an excellent work ethic and completes assignments on time.  She is a good friend to others and always seems to do the right thing.  This student can be found displaying her artistic side throughout the school day.  She is creative and has such clever ideas.  March’s SOM goes to Lexi Gomez.

    7th Grade
    Travis Cole - This student has demonstrated an excellent work ethic all year long. He works extremely hard to make sure he is always prepared for quizzes and tests and he consistently goes above and beyond on the time he spends on IReady each week. When he is older he hopes to be a firefighter. Team Awesome is proud to announce Travis Cole as the student of the month for March!
    James Lord - This student is always working their hardest inside the classroom. He consistently turns assignments in on time, is always asking questions when he is confused, and is someone that is looked at as a true leader in the school. He is kind and respectful to both his peers and teachers. This student is always looking for ways to improve and welcomes feedback from his teachers. We are very proud to announce James Lord as our Student for the Month for March!

     
    8th Grade
    Jason Guertin - This student is always polite and nice to his teachers and peers. He enters the room with a great big,”Hi.”and always asks how your day is going. He is hard working and wants to do well. He is always willing to ask questions to get the assignment right. Outside of school he likes collecting things, reading and gaming. Football is his favorite sport and he likes to watch it, but also play it. Besides all that, he is “The Grinch” in this year’s play, “Seussical!” Team Awesome would like to congratulate Jason Guertin as the March Student of the Month.
    Emily LaFleur - This 8th grade student is responsible and hard-working. She always shows up to class on time, asks great questions, and takes her work seriously. She gets along great with other students and conducts herself with the maturity we expect of our 8th graders. She has a number of cool interests that she shares with both teachers and peers, and she always sets a great example for others. The Dream Team is proud to have Emily as our March student of the month.

    February Students of the Month

    Ben Hamilton
     - For the month of February, the Dream Team recognizes a fantastic 6th grader who works hard and dreams big. This student’s friendly and curious personality is a great addition to any classroom, and his dedication to improvement has been evident from the beginning. This student is kind to his peers and displays fantastic work ethic. His willingness to ask questions and eagerness to receive feedback has helped him grow tremendously, and we look forward to seeing more in the future.

    Caroline Siekman - This 6th grade student of the month for February is a leader. Leadership is a hard but important skill to learn and much of your time in Middle School is spent practicing this skill. However, this student is naturally one of the strongest leaders in the grade and makes it look easy. This student is alway willing to participate in all of her classes, ask questions and is never afraid to share her ideas. Though she has shown a strong interest in Social Studies, particularly Ancient Egypt, her true passion is Hockey (Go Bruins). Her strong sense of justice, kindness and humor make her a role model to her fellow students. The Dream Team is proud to award Caroline Siekman as February Student of the Month!

    Maddi Stevens
     - For the month of February, Team Awesome is acknowledging this 7th grade student for her consistent hard work and for the improvement we have seen in her academics throughout the course of the year. Across the four classes, she has taken the initiative and has shown consistency in turning in thorough and well throughout-out assignments. She comes into class with a positive attitude and she is ready to learn and take feedback from her teachers and is always looking to improve. We have seen tremendous growth throughout the year and are very proud to announce Madison Stevens for February Student of the month.

    Ayva Morgan - This student of the month has been working hard inside the classroom to achieve her academic best! This student is always kind to her peers and teachers, is always looking for ways to improve her grades, and consistently demonstrates what we look for in a Warrior! This student represents her school both in the classroom and on the basketball court as well. Team Awesome is proud to acknowledge Ayva Morgan for February Student of the Month.

    8th Grade

    Nia Javier - This student of the month works hard and always does her best. She is respectful and polite to her peers and teachers. She is a positive role model for her 5 sisters and she also loves animals. She has 3 dogs! She is always willing to help others and has a positive presence in the classroom. Outside of school she likes to hang out with friends and go shopping. She is also in the play “Seussical” and plays the clarinet. Team Awesome would like to congratulate Nia Javier as the February Student of the Month.
    Amos Whiteley - This student of the month goes to a student who is an all around good guy!  He is friendly and includes others in activities.  He is very responsible and thoughtful.  He is honest and is also very thorough when completing work.  He loves music and drumming.  You will likely find him tapping out a drum beat on any table or desk.  The Dream Team is proud to announce that this month’s Student of the Month is Amos Whiteley.

    Colby Kenney - This student of the month goes to a student who works hard, sets a great example for others, gets along with his classmates, and regularly makes us laugh. He is a responsible student who does the right thing and provides a shining example to his peers in both behavior and academics. He participates in class, both answering questions and providing great comments and feedback. He puts his best effort into his work and encourages his classmates to be their best selves. 

    Emelia Leach - This student of the month is an incredibly kind 6th grader. Not only has she set an example of model behavior to her fellow students but she has also set an example for one of the most important skills a student can have, determination. This student did not start out with perfect grades, but in the fall she decided to do something about it. She worked hard in all of her classes, used her advisories to check in with all of her teachers when others were playing, and even did work at home. Today she has some of the highest grades in middle school. The dream  team is proud to award a student who has set an example for us all to follow, Emelia Leach.

    7th Grade

    Jameson Benn - This student comes to class with a positive attitude and ready to do his best everyday. He is friendly to his teachers and peers and has been described as “a friend to everyone.” He is always willing to help others. Outside of school he enjoys: robotics,  watching hockey with his dad,  game night, and video games, especially,”Fortnight.” Team Awesome would like to congratulate, Jameson Benn as the January Student of the Month.

    Colby Allen - This student always comes to class prepared and strives to do his academic best every single day. He is always polite and kind to both teachers and other students. Outside of school, he loves to play soccer and play video games. Team Awesome  is proud to announce, Colby Allen as a January student of the month.

    8th Grade

    Kiana Bigue - This fantastic 8th grade student strives for perfection in everything she sets out to do. She works hard on all of her assignments and shows real grit and determination. She gets along well with her classmates and participates regularly in school activities. She has a great sense of humor and is very creative. The Dream Team is proud to announce and excited to congratulate Kiki Bigue as the February Student of the Month!!!

    Esme Howe - This student is focused and exhibits a strong sense of responsibility. She is a great peer to have on your team as she is patient and fun, while also being serious about her learning and contributing in productive ways. She has a big heart and is kind and respectful towards those around her, and has an admirable sense of self. The Dream Team is excited to have Esme Howe as their student of the month!


    December Students of the Month

    6th Grade:
    Keira Beam - This student’s manner towards teachers and other students goes unmatched as she consistently shows respect and focus while engaging in classes.  She is always getting her work done well and can be seen as one who is doing what is expected.  She can be seen outside of school excelling in swimming. She is also extremely polite and kind. The SOM for December is Keira Beam!
    Joseph Chumbley - This student takes time to ensure he does his part within the class by setting good examples. He is a focused and determined student who is driven to excel. He’s quiet yet engaged and always seems to know what to be doing. He works hard and is very thorough. He never gives up and is an excellent example of perseverance. The SOM for December is Joseph Chumbley!

    7th Grade:
    Vivian Boss - This student always has a smile on her face and comes to class every day with an amazing attitude. She is always willing to help out her classmates and teachers and is a pleasure to have in class. She is extremely hard-working and asks for help when she needs it. She loves acting and did an amazing job on her Christmas Carol act in English class. She also plays softball and drank a lot of coffee this morning. Team Awesome is proud to announce Vivian Boss as December’s student of the month.
    Connor Allen - This student is always pushing himself to be successful in the classroom, always trying to improve his grade. His peers look to him as a leader in the classroom as he is consistently setting positive examples. He is always participating in class and treating others with respect. Team Awesome is proud to select Connor Allen as our December Student of the Month.

    8th Grade:
    Owen Pearsall - This eighth grade student goes up and above the assigned work, always doing his best. He is always participating in class and has a very inquisitive mind. In fact, he  enjoys researching and learning new things. He always comes into the room with a big “hello” and is friendly to his peers. Creative writing is a strength of his and he writes great stories and essays. Another one of his strengths is technology. He is very creative with his projects, usually putting some type of technology into them. Team Awesome would like to congratulate Owen Pearsall, as the December Student of the Month.
    Ava White - This 8th grade student is a pleasure to have in class. She completes assignments on time and will ask for clarification if needed. She’s determined and always prepared for class. She works well with others and is willing to help. She shows initiative in improving skills and is always well behaved. The SOM for December is Ava White!

    Matt Caragher - This team has selected Matthew Caragher as our November student of the month! Matt is an enthusiastic student who always goes above and beyond when it comes to assignments, no matter how small or large. Matt has amazing participation in class and frequently helps other students with challenging tasks. His energy and confidence make him a leader among his peers and always has something thoughtful to add to classroom conversations. Thanks for all the hard work, Matthew!
    Gabriela Abasciano - This student has been working hard and trying her best.  She takes school work seriously and is a very thorough and hard working student.  She pays attention to details and takes great pride in her work and sets a great example for others in the class to follow.  It doesn’t matter if it’s putting things away, getting folders, helping the teacher or another student, she is always willing to help.  She stays on task and completes work on time. She is very organized and asks questions when appropriate. This student loves social media (tiktok) and recently joined the basketball team.  We are fortunate to have a student like her here at WLC.  This month’s SOM is Gabby!7th Grade

    Matt Hannigan - Team Awesome  has selected Matthew Hannigan to be our November student of the month! Matthew has gone above and beyond academically this year. He has set a great example in the classroom, consistently participating in class, always trying to improve, and asking questions when he is unsure. Matthew is always respectful and kind to his peers and teachers. For these reasons Matthew is the obvious choice to be recognized as our Student of the Month for November! Congratulations Matty!
    Andie White - This student is a clear choice to be a student of the month for November. She is an extremely hard-working student who always strives to do her academic best. She demonstrates an excellent work ethic, always comes to class prepared,  and is a great role model for her classmates. She is also incredibly helpful and kind and can be counted on to help both her teachers and classmates. Congrats Andie and keep up the great work!

    8th Grade
    Sydney Beam - Team Awesome is recognizing this student for her willingness to go above and beyond what is expected. She is responsive to feedback, and works creatively to problem-solve and produce work that has been thoughtfully fashioned. She goes above and beyond in ways such as writing an extensive national honors society essay, helping out at school fundraisers, and she is respectful and polite, and has an awesome sense of humor. Team Awesome is happy to have Sydney Beam as November student of the month.
    Vincenzo Anzalone - Dream Team has choses this 8th grade student of the month not only for his academic excellence but for his determination and focus on his assignments.  He works hard and creates high quality work across all subjects. He sets a strong example for those around him and is a leader to his peers. Dream Team is proud to announce that Vinnie Anzalone is the November student of the month.

    Addison Jones: Addison Jones has been unanimously chosen by the Dream Team to be SOM!  She is AMAZING both academically and in interacting with her fellow students.  She sets a strong example to her peers everyday and comes to all of her classes prepared.  Addison continues to work hard on all of her assignments and goes the extra mile to complete her work.  Being kind, respectful and polite are three of her many wonderful qualities.  Her teachers all agree that she is an obvious choice from the 6th graders.  Congratulations!

    Jayce Eklund: The Dream Team has unanimously selected Jayce to be SOM! Jayce is a hard working student who always puts in the effort and never backs down from challenging assignments. Jayce is a responsible student who asks great questions, puts great detail into his work, and interacts with both teachers and peers in a thoughtful and respectful way.  Jayce participates in class and sets a great example for his fellow students. He is an obvious choice to be recognized for student of the month. Congratulations, Jayce!

    7th Grade
    Izzy Hibbard: Through the 1st two months of the school year this student has shown her 7th grade teachers that she is extremely hardworking. She is constantly pushing herself to achieve her academic best. This student is not afraid to make mistakes and enjoys learning from those mistakes. She is not afraid to ask questions in the classroom and will go out of her way to reach out to her teachers to clear up any confusing material. This student is friendly and respectful to her peers and teachers. Team Awesome would like to congratulate Izzy Hibbard for being our Student of Month for the month of October!

    Colton Nickerson: This 7th grade student is being recognized for consistently putting in his best effort on his assignments. His teachers have noticed and wish to recognize an admirable trait - that having an open-mind, asking questions, and being willing to go back and fix the work you have done until you get it right is a quality that reflects academic best. This student has shown all of these qualities and then some, while simultaneously playing as a student athlete for the WLC soccer team. With that, Team Awesome is excited to recognize Colton Nickerson as October Student of the Month.

    Leah Crawley: This student of the month award goes to an 8th grader who is a joy to teach and to have in class. Everyday, she comes to class on time, prepared and with a smile on her face ready to learn something new. She works very well with her fellow classmates helping them with their work whenever she can. She cares very much about her academics and is never afraid to remediate a project in order to improve her grades. The Dream Team is proud to announce Leah Crawley as the October Student of the month.

    Kayden Graham: This eighth grade student comes to class prepared, ready to learn and has a great attitude. He often helps his fellow students and is a great collaborator in groups. This student helps out whenever he is asked by adults,, as well.. He has many varied interests, some of them being: coin collecting, he is an Eagle Scout, band, hiking, and album collecting - He loves the Beatles! Team Awesome would like to congratulate Kayden Graham, on being the October Student of the Month.

    Avery Niquette - The Dream Team has chosen this student because she is AMAZING, both academically and in interacting with her fellow students. She sets a strong example to her peers every day, coming to all of her classes prepared, consistently volunteering in class, working hard on all of her assignments. She finishes her work on time and is never afraid to ask questions. She works well with others and helps out her fellow classmates. Her teachers all agree that she is an obvious choice as one of the first students of the month to be chosen from the 6th grade.

    Logan Rocca - The Dream Team has chosen this person because he is an AMAZING student. He is  an active member in classroom activities, often leading the conversation. He always has a positive attitude, a curious mind, and a great sense of humor. He works hard on all of his assignments and sets a strong example for those around him. He is also an active member of the School Lego Robotics Team, where he brings his unwavering positive attitude and energy to supporting his team. 

    7th Grade 

    William Magoffin - This seventh grade student comes to class ready to work and learn. He is often the leader in group work and always gets his work done. He is also very good at presenting information to the class. Being respectful and polite are two of his many wonderful qualities. He loves to draw and really likes anything to do with outer space. 

    Brittney Rondeau - Brittney won the title of student of the month for September due to being an extremely hard-working student who always strives to do her best both in and out of school.  In addition to this, Britt is an incredibly kind person who always demonstrates compassion for others. Outside of school, Britt enjoys playing soccer, running, and participating in drama club. 

    8th Grade
    Isabella Jaffe - Dream Team has unanimously chosen a truly WONDERFUL person for the first 8th grade student of the month. She always comes to her classes on time and prepared. She actively participates in all of her classes, leading class discussions, asking important questions, and consistently follows up with her teachers on projects. She completes her work long before it is due so that her teachers can give her feedback on her assignments. She has a great sense of humor and a wonderful sense of curiosity.

    Juni Wentworth - Team Awesome is recognizing this 8th grade student for her consistent work ethic and positive behavior in class. She comes prepared and ready to learn with a smile on her face. Continuously, she asks questions and genuinely wants to excel in her academics, and her teachers have recognized her as a positive leader in the class dynamic.
